Hi! Questions about Analog Discovery 3

Hi, pretty new to all of this. I was just wondering if the Waveforms SDK is compatible with the analog discovery 3? Should any of the code be edited for the test scripts such as "Using the Oscilloscope and the Waveform Generator" to run?

Specifically, the Analog Discovery 3 is not listed as a device in the dwfconstants.py file.

Hello @Charlotte123,

I started using the Analog Discovery 3 with SDK yesterday, I could open the device with Logic and Protocol instrument instance and read some UART, so yes it's compatible I guess.

Yes, the WaveForms SDK is compatible with all of Digilent's Test and Measurement devices.

Hi Chalotte,

 

if you are using AD3, can I ask what is the value of V+ idle (when turned off V+) with scope1+ channel input? 

V+ connected with 1+ (scope ch1), to measure V+ off idle level.

 

This is because, I just bought AD3, but V+ idle is TOOOOOOOOOO much higher than V- idle.

V+=272mV when V-=0mV (sometimes over than 400mV)
