WebDAQ 504 Error: The DAQ Service is not running

Tobias Z

Question

Hello,

When i want to access the webdaq web interface following Error appeared (attached image).
The ftp server can be reached but all Rest API requests are declined and after login to the webinterface only the error message apears.

The device will be placed in a remote location, Is it possible to restart the device over ssh, telnet, etc.?

Kind regards

Tobias

See if you can access the debugger by adding  “/webdaqDebug/?action=openDebugger" to the end of the IP address. If the debugger appears, enter the following command and press submit: "sudo /etc/init.d/S99daq-service start"

This may not help because the daq service is normally started when it is powered on.

Hello,

thanks for the reply.

In the error message it states "See log file for details before restarting", how can I get the log file when I can not access the web gui?

Kind regards,

Tobias

Hello,

Resetting the device via SSH or telnet is unsupported. If it crashed or locked up for an unknown reason, someone would need to repower it to bring it back.

If you are experiencing trouble with the REST API, try the examples we provide.https://files.digilent.com/downloads/WebDAQ/REST-API/1.0.0/WebDAQ_REST_API_Examples.zip

Best regards,

John

Hi JRys,

I recently experienced the same issue with a remote device having the same error presented when attempting to operate. [An error about the DAQ Service not running] After two power cycles the same issue persists. Are there any additional suggestions?
