New Analog Discovery 2 NOT recognized by the Waveforms software.

Gordo

Question

As listed in the Title....  New Analog Discovery 2 NOT recognized by the Waveforms software. Never have used the AD2 BC I could never get it to, maybe power UP.  Is there any power LEDs that indicate it has power?  None are illuminated.  I have already spent quit a bit of time with this device and am getting no where.  I mean the company set my expectations and with the company not seeming to be a small "mom and pop shop", what I expected was that I could load/install the software, plug in the USB, and away I would go.  Not so, not even close.

So it could be that the AD2 is defective.....  Maybe there is a driver that is missing..... maybe the company that designed the device could just maybe provide support other than taking your money and leaving all issue up to the customer to spend their time and effort to try and solve.  I dont know, I am "old school and just want to get this thing to work so that I can eval it and its potential for upcoming educational commitments that have.

Is this a problem that can be solved rather quickly?  Otherwise I will need to find a replacement product.  Not sure what the turn around is but I need to move to my next task and will periodically look for response.

TIA, I hope this can be solved quickly. Your marketing/sales collateral (if in deed you are an employee of this company and not outsourced) is great but if the product is not workable it is of no value.

Hi @Gordo

Normally it should be simple: install and plug&play. I hope we can quickly solve the problem.

Are you using Windows ? Is it a x86/64 computer ?
Is the device detected by the system ? Do you hear "Device Connect" sound or does "USB Serial Converter" show up in Windows Device Manager under "USB controllers" ?

Hi @Gordo

For warranty and replacement please contact the support.digilent @ ni.com specifying the Date of Purchase, Seller and Purchase Order/ Web order Number.

The AD2 LED lights up only after software connection and indicates power mode, USB/AUX. The newer device have and will have power good LED.
