Software developed using the universal library works with 1808 but not 1608HS

Having issue: Software developed using the universal library works with 1808(and 1808X) but not 1608HS. Scans configure OK but no data is even returned in the A/d buffers. Could there be a hardware wiring or triggers which need to be in place? The device is recognized properly in InstaCal. I am using several (identical model) 1608HS-2AO cards but even enabling a single channel on 1 card gives me the same "Can't scan device 0027" error. Sampling rate is well below max for the card. Thank you!

I'm not sure what your code looks like, but if you're trying to use the same routine it won't work. The reason why is the 1808 uses WinBufAlloc32Ex and the USB1608HS uses WinBufAllocEx.

Solved:

The problem was that the Universal Library stops AI DAQ if we attempt to do cbDConfigBit to configure a pin as input or output on the 1608 AUXPORT. Unlike the 1808 there are separate DI/DO pins on the 1608 and there is no need to set the bit on the port to in or out. MCC claim a “Universal Library” but now we have had to put in special handling for different models.
