FPGA Development Boards with voltage domain change capability

Paolo Falduto

Question

Hi,

In my company, we use Arty7-100T, lately we need to change a voltage domain at least of one bank of FPGA.

It is not important which FPGA is mounted on Development Board (Spartan,Artix or Virtex), but it is very important the capability to access to some pin where i change externaly the Bank voltages.

Do you have some similar product?

Hi @Paolo Falduto,

Most Digilent boards do not have the ability to change the voltage on any of their banks. The exception to this is boards with an FMC connector (such as the Genesys 2, Nexys Video, and Genesys ZU) that have a jumper to adjust voltages for the banks that the FMC connector is connected to.

In terms of modifying the Arty A7 100T board itself to be able to change bank voltages, it might be possible but would be quite difficult. You can read a larger discussion on this thread here: https://forum.digilent.com/topic/21776-setting-the-io-voltage-to-12v-on-arty-35t/.

Thanks,
JColvin
