Got it thanks! good to know that petalinux-boot did work for someone and I'm the problem haha. All the examples are petalinux-package and onto and SD card which is a bit of an annoying workflow

Got it - and that makes sense. Thanks for the feedback and response! When you're setting up petalinux from scratch, have you had any luck using petalinux-boot? I am hitting an issue w/ the DDR controller not being initialized, and I believe it's FSBL related, but still learning how to patch the Genesys project FSBL into a fresh Petalinux project.

Thank you so much for a quick response! Glad to know I'm not going crazy as PetaLinux is fighting me (as you could probably guess I'm quite new with it as well). In your opinion do you think you'd recommend a newbie start with just Yocto? or do you think Petalinux would still be a good place to start. I'm working with the Genesys Eval board but will also have an RFSoC that I'm working on soon enough. If you have any resources or tutorials you recommend I'd greatly appreciate as well!

Is this board at all supported with petalinux 2023+? Has anyone had any success booting from jtag using petalinux-boot? Or have a good workflow that doesn't involve booting from SD Cards each time there's a new petalinux build?
