2016 on some machines, also in the process of migrating to 2020 (tried 2022 but unsuccessful running our previous worksheets, were told Python scripting will not work, half of our DL worksheets are using Python scripting). Same Configurator Admin PW requirements for all versions installed with or without Admin privileges. I was logged in with no Admin rights and after initializing the DASYLab installation am prompted for Admin PW in order to continue installing. Our headquarters only allows Admin rights to our IT dept.

Recently, due to security issues Admin rights have been revoked and every time configurator needs adjusting we need to have an IT staff to enter their credentials. Before the change, never even realized this was needed, has become a strain on both our Lab techs as well as our IT department. Is there a way to bypass the Admin requirement to simply open and adjust configurator?

Appreciate your follow up. However, after following the instructions to update PIP in DASYLab, still receiving the same errors. Is there a way to reverse engineer DASYLab packages or extract python scripting from them? According to DASYLab help contents regarding python: "Script module: Migration of Python 2 to Python 3 With DASYLab 2022, Python 3 is the basis for the script module first introduced in DASYLab 13. While the change from Python 2.6.5 in DASYLab 13 to Python 2.7.10 in DASYLab 14/2016 required no or only minor changes, the big step from Python 2 to Python 3 in DASYLab 2022 (3.9.6) means that worksheets of earlier DASYLab versions have to be revised with Python 2 script modules. You will receive a warning, if you load a worksheet, created with DASYLab 2020 (and earlier), with at least one Python 2 script module in DASYLab 2022. You can proceed, but a working script module and thus a working worksheet cannot be guaranteed due to the changes from Python 2 to Python 3." Prior to Digilent, Measurement Computing had a tech support hotline. Talking to a person and working through technical issues in real time was very helpful instead of typing extensively detailed technical questions and waiting for a random response. Do you have a helpline or is there anyone available to speak thru a conference call while including our IT department?

UPDATE: For unknown reasons, after installing DASYLab 2022, our security software Bitdefender removed contr1.dll from the DASYLab folder. Once we replaced contr1.dll all of the Control modules are now present and functional.

A previous employee created Psychrometric modules in Python using CoolProp. We recently upgraded from 2016 (Full Version) to 2022 (Full Version). Since the upgrade we are not able to run these worksheets and desperately need to. We have a brief tutorial left by previous employee, on how to install CoolProp files into 'site-packages' folder, and (2) additional .dlp self extracting files that install files. Once these 'CoolProp' files are copied into the 'site-packages' folder and .dlp files are extracted, they are Enabled in configurator. However, popup errors are received upon startup of DASYLab and listed in the console as well??? I have no formal Python training and very little programming background, but need to figure out how to fix this so we can resume testing our products. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Tried uninstall/reinstall and same issue. The Modules under Files: Backup Data, ODBC Output, and ODBC Input are all missing (there but greyed out)? Is there a .dll file that contains these I can verify is missing or not?

We have the Basic and Full versions and all worked fine for years up until yesterday, it appears our security software 'Bitdefender' decided to remove the 'contr1.dll' file. 3 of 4 PCs are working now, still having issues with 1 PC. Hub 0 & Hub 1 are missing, thinking might be another dll that was removed?

Today (4) of our Dasylab 2016 installs began erroring out with the Control Switch Module in our worksheets not working. Switch shows up light grey in the Control Modules list but not able to use..?
