  1. Hi,Digilent When I select the EclypseZ7 demo on WaveForms, the application crashes. I have tried a number of versions and found this problem starting from version 3.19.24. Only when I select EclypseZ7 demo, the program will force back. If I connect to EclypseZ7, the application will work. Thanks!
  2. Hi, digilent, This zedboard could not be powered on. After testing, I determined that the IC27 and IC28 were damaged. It can be started normally after replacement. However, the power supply output of IC28 was abnormal: 1V5 and 1V0 were marked on the drawing, but the measured results were 1V0 and 1V5, which were just reversed. I replaced it with a new IC28 and it's still upside down. Is this the new zedboard design? I have a zedboard that I bought a long time ago and the voltage matches the drawings. I suspect this may be the cause of the damage to IC27 and IC28. Thanks!

Neither adept nor vivado is able to identify the boards, nor is DigilentFTDIConfig

    Nexys4 DDR

Hi,Digilent I have two N4 boards with unidentifiable problems. According to my experience, I suspect that the FT2232 chip is faulty. After replacement, it still cannot be identified, nor can the firmware be identified after replacement. Do you have any suggestions for repair? Thanks!

    Genesys2

@JColvin I tested all of these questions. It wasn't for any of these reasons. I wonder if the fpga chip is damaged, but I don't have the ability to detect the chip. I would like to ask if there are other reasons for the failure, so that I can do more tests. Thankes!

I was running the official OLED Demo. https://digilent.com/reference/programmable-logic/genesys-2/demos/oled

    Genesys2

Hi,Digilent I have a faulty G2 board at hand that can be powered on and identified properly. But the firing program will report an error, as shown in the figure. If you use Adept software you will not get wrong, but you will not get the correct results either. ERROR: [Labtools 27-3165] End of startup status: LOW ERROR: [Common 17-39] 'program_hw_devices' failed due to earlier errors. Does this mean that the fpga chip is damaged? Thanks!
  8. @JColvin Hi, I also encountered the same problem, LD8 and LD11 are both lit up, LD10 is also lit up, but this board cannot be recognized. I was not able to see the board in the Windows Device Manager (assuming you are using Windows) or through the Digilent Adept software (as described in this thread). Thanks!

    Arty a7

Thank you for your help, I have already bought a new chip and a compiler (but the model of the compiler is not necessarily correct, it seems that there is no response when I connect it before). It would be great if there were programming files, but this part of the repair might be a lot more difficult than I thought, but I wanted to try it anyway.

    Arty a7

One of my arty a7 is damaged. According to judgment, one of the voltage chips is damaged. The model is DA9062-00AM. After replacing the chip, the abnormal voltage impedance is no longer displayed, but all outputs are all 0. Need to burn the program to output voltage, but will not operate.
  11. oh great!I tried the waveform from the latest version and it looks perfect. If there is a new version to try, I will be happy to help test it.
  12. I am using SMA cable. If I open two channels here, the waveform obtained is relatively smooth, but if I open only one channel, the waveform will not be smooth.
  13. Not only 1 channel, but also the waveform obtained with only 2 channels is not smooth, especially when the waveform is above 1MHz
  14. Oh, this is awesome! After I used the new exe software here, the problem of gain has been solved, but the problem of unsmooth waveform still exists, and obvious burrs can still be seen. The waveform seen is much smoother only when channel 2 is turned on.
  15. Hi @attila There is no audible click of the relay when switching between 200mV and 500mV, and no click when switching between AC and DC.
  16. Hi @attila I found some problems when using Eclypse z7. 1. The oscilloscope shows that the sine wave I generated is unstable and has obvious sawtooth. But when I check 2 channels, the displayed waveform is much smoother. 2. When the range is 200mV/div, the oscilloscope displays the wrong value of the sine wave, which is 25 times smaller. And this abnormality will only appear below the 200mV/div range, and it is still normal at 200.1. After that, I adjusted the attenuation to 25 times, and the peak value was 1V in the 200mV/div range (consistent with the sine wave I generated), which is also the same value in the 500mV/div range, without 25 times larger (the previous 500mV/div range) 1V peak below). In other words, the display above the 200mV/div range is normal, and the magnification does not change by 25 times. Below 200mV/div, it needs to be magnified 25 times to be the correct value.
  17. Hi,digilent One windows10 PC connects three AD2s.An application program based on VB.NET connects these three AD2s, and the three AD2s run concurrently, each performing its own tasks. Can I apply for a dedicated thread for each AD2 to improve the performance of the application? If yes, how? Thanks a lot!
  18. Hi @attila Thanks, I tried the new bit file and it worked successfully, it worked great. I'm still researching, thanks a lot!
  19. In the way of sd card, the PLGOOD light on the board is not on
  20. @artvvb Hi! I followed the steps in the Help document on the Waveforms software, and neither method A nor method B can run successfully, and the done light on the board is not on. Whether it is using Vivado or Adept software to burn into the bit stream, an error will be reported. The error type can be seen in my previous post.So I suspect there may be something wrong with the bit file. Thanks!
  21. Hi digilent, I saw on the forum that Waveforms supports the Eclypse Z7 oscilloscope, but I encountered some problems when using it. The device cannot be searched on Waveforms. When burning the program, whether it is using Vivado or Adept, it will report an error.
  22. Hi, Picture 19 is written here, but I don't see it. Thanks!
  23. Hi,digilent My AD2 signal generator is abnormal, the output waveform is wrong, and the output as a voltage source is also too small. It should be a fault somewhere. Through comparison and measurement, I found that the voltage of the device is abnormal, but it cannot be repaired without the circuit diagram. Do you have the circuit diagram of AD2, or maybe there is something wrong with this board? As shown in the figure, the voltage of the device in the frame column part is abnormal, and there are other devices that I have not measured yet.Or can you tell me where the board might be going wrong? Thanks!
