TheGuyWithQuestions
Hi! I had the last years a SpartenE3-Board and did some projects in VHDL with the ISE-Software. Now I choose something new. A Zybo-Board with Vivado and now I'd like to send datas with Ethernet to my computer. So, new board with new software. I looked for some help get the Ethernet work, some tutorials, cause I feel a bit lost. I also looked for other sources but nothing is that stuff i need. Hope someone can help me here. xc6lx45
Hi, you could start bringing up the ARM processor without peripherals and run the "Hello world" SDK example (it prints "Hello world" to the UART). For most boards, this task does not need any files, as long as I know the UART pins to select in the processor config. BTW, and it does not involve writing a single line of code. If plan to continue with Zynq for a longer time, maybe even repeat this exercise until you don't need instructions anymore. There's still enough stuff to get lost in, but this covers some of the key features.
jpeyron
Hi @TheGuyWithQuestions, Here is the zybo resource center that has a echo server ethernet tutorial here. I would also look at Zynq book that has a free download here. thank you, Jon
