VIVADO HLS

Question

I found a very interesting series of tutorials on high synthesis at the Vivado website. I believe that they use the Kintex(?). The instructions seem very straight forward. My question is can I use this tutorial for my Digilent Zybo-Z7-20? I know that the output in the runs woul be different, but it still could work. Please let me know if this is a good idea.

The tutorials are in Xilinx document UG871 (v2017.1) May 5, 2017

Vivado Design Suite Tutorial

High-Level Synthesis

The document can be found at the Xilinx website. I tried to paste in a link, I but could not.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi @Newport_j,

I have not gone through Xilinx's tutorial, but I imagine the demo would be functional with the Zybo-Z7-20, after some appropriate changes where made (since it is a different FPGA chip). Alternatively, it looks like Xilinx has some Workshop material available for HLS on Zynq boards on this page, with what appears to be some material from previous years on the right hand side of the page: https://www.xilinx.com/support/university/vivado/vivado-workshops/Vivado-high-level-synthesis-flow-zynq.html.

Thanks,
JColvin
