Video Processing using Zybo Z-7010

Hello,

I am doing project on Video Processing. I have installed Linaro on Zybo usnig SD card. I want to use both PL and PS for video processing such that my OS will take the video from camera using USB or HDMI and my PL side will do further processing. Now I am having doubt regarding how I will send the video stream from OS side to PL side for further processing.The one thing I now is that I have to use AXI interface but don't now how to process further.

Hi @Shubham Gandhare,

I have reached out to more experienced embedded linux engineers to see if they have some input.  Currently we do not have a Petalinux base design built for the Zybo-Z7-10 but we do for the Zybo-Z7-20 here.  If you were wanting to use petalinux the zybo-z7-20 project would be a good reference.

Thank you for your reply but I have not used any Petalinux tool here. I follows this link to install Linaro in Zybo:   http://www.instructables.com/id/Setting-up-the-Zybot-Software/ 

I am bit confused to proceed further.

I am still waiting to see if there is any input for this thread. Unfortunately, We have not done any more development with Linaro since this Instructable came out.

Unfortunately I am unable to comment on that instructable. However, if you want to check out some of our projects supported to HDMI, check out https://github.com/Digilent/Zybo-Z7-20-HDMI, which is the Vivado project for creating an HDMI IN to HDMI OUT pass through using the PL. A similar linux based project for this can be found here: https://github.com/Digilent/Petalinux-Zybo-Z7-20. 

Check out these projects and see if they are ultimately easier to use than that instructable.

We now have support for the Zybo-Z7-10 for petalinux if you were interested in using Petalinux.
