Generation of 5V Input Signal @ 60 Hz with Half-Cycle Fault Interruptions

Jimmy Guerrero

Question

Hello everyone,

I am a new AD2 user trying to generate a 5V, 60 Hz, signal with a voltage sag/interruption every 4 minutes.  I used Wavegen and created a square wave with 60 Hz frequency, which automatically sets the Period (T) to 16.666 ms.  I don't know how to insert a brief quarter-cycle/half-cycle, voltage sag/interruption at the 4-minute mark.  Is there an option to implement a code using AD2 to accomplish the above?

I am trying to control an interposing relay to test voltage sag/interruption ride-through capabilities of different types of equipment.  Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Attila,

Thank you very much for the prompt and effectve response.  I have an additional issue since the zero crossing of the AC signal turns off the electronic relay.  I am planning to use a pulse instead, with the same settings, and see if that works.  Thanks again!
