Logic tool window not updating to input from static I/O

I am trying to execute the steps given for static I/O tutorial and cant see any changes on logic window for the added channel .

i have added channel 24 to logic window and same is configured as button with 0:1 configuration but still no change is seen on logic window for high /lows on static I/O 24.

is it due to the demo mode ?

Yes, the demo mode only emulates some of the features.
