My Discovery 2 doesn't connect

I tried different USB cables, including the one that came with the device, directly from the PC. I use them daily for ST boards, so I know the cables are fine.

I last used the Discovery two years ago and it was fine. I didn't touch it since then, and now nothing happens. This is on both Windows and Linux, on different PC's. I wiggled the cable in case a connection in the Discovery is bad, but still nothing.

Is there anything I can do, or is this it... end of line?

Hi @aro

Try using the original cable or other cables you have at hand. The tip of the cable may be too short to make contact. A cable working with one device may not work with others due slight differences between receptacles and wear.

Ok, I fortunately found 2 more cables, both brand new, unused. One didn't work and one finally did!

Out of 5 cables only one works. Well, one is all I need... I must say I've never encountered such a finicky device, but I'm happy I don't have to get something new.
