Problem using Hall effect current transducer CR5210-400

Nikolay Spassov

Question

Hardware: USB 1808X

Software - DASYLab 2022 Basic

Using only analog inputs for connecting sensors

System GND - AC measurements 620 mV, DC measurement 0

Sensors connection - Common mode voltage <±10 V / Differential inputs

Sensor: CR5210-400 Hall effect current transducer

First several uses of the CR5210 sensor - working correctly

Then starting worksheet and no load on sensor shows stable 0

When loaded applaied to the sensor values begin play

In another worksheet wit CR5210 and another sensors(pressure) both values start play

I try with another two SR5210(one brand new) result was same

On same channel - Pressure sensor, LVDT, SR, Volt sensor - work correctly

Measuring directly output from CR5210 - show stable and correct output.

Was the hall effect sensor working correctly using DASYLab 2022 initially and then stopped working?

When does this occur?

Please provide screen captures from DASYLab, additional detailed setup and descriptions, and wiring configuration of the hall effect sensor with the USB-1808X.

Fausto

Hi Fausto,

Yes. CR5210 Work correctly at beginning with DASYLab 2022 & USB 1808X with same worksheet, settings and connections.

Connection to USB 1808X: Common - CH0L, Output - CH0H.

I use tis sensors for 15 years With DASYLab 9.00.00 and DAQ board 2000.

Hello @Nikolay Spassov.

What changed prior to noticing this issue?

Did the target system install a Windows update?

Have you tested a different CR5210 and/or USB-1808X module (or channel)?

Please elaborate on what conditions cause the CR5210 readings to be bad; include screen captures of DASYLab, hardware images, and wiring schematic to help.

Regards,

Fausto
