USB-231: ulGetDaqDeviceInventory() returns zero for numDescriptors

delta-team

Question

Hello,

Been using UL for Linux for some time - received a new to me DAQ (USB-231), updated the udev rules for the vendor/product-id, but the function call ulGetDaqDeviceInventory() which should return the number of descriptors found in the third argument consistently returns 0.

ULDaq Linux version 1.2.1

Suggestions?

It was a business decision not to support it, not lack of resources. It has to do with the open-source nature of Linux that could expose parts of our design we wished to keep private.  The USB-231 and USB-234 register maps were not made public so it's unlikely a third-party driver exists.

Consider returning it for an E-1608 or USB-1608G.
