Socket for CMOD A7

I am looking for recommendations for a socket that will accept the CMOD A7 board.  I ordered a standard 48 pin socket from Digikey (2057-ICM-648-1-GT-HT-ND) and the CMOD board will not fit because the pins are too large. The spacing is correct but the pin holes are too small.

They were intended for use on a breadboard. Your socket is an Augat one, with high quality machined sockets for maximum 0.43mm circular pins. The ones in CMOD A7 are most likely cheap square 0.64x0.64mm pins. I think two 24 positions headers will be better for a custom made PCB. Digikey part:  S7022-ND

The pins are 0.64 mm square as cnegrea correctly indicated. You can find some more details in this thread:
