Network analysis of a differential pre-amplifier

Hello, I would like to measure the frequency response of a differential pre-amplifier which has a differential input and a differential output.

Is it possible to use the 2 input and output channels of the Analog Discovery 3 to measure something like this?

Yes. The Network Analyzer has option for differential drive on the two AWG outputs and the Scope inputs are differential.

I got my Analog Discovery 3 and tried out the differential output. It works well.

However, I am struggling to measure a differential output in the Network Analyzer. I get the two plots in the Magnitude section, which I guess are C1/Source and C2/Source. But is there any way I can get the Magnitude (and Phase) of (C2-C1)/Source ?

Hi @notthetup

By default Magnitude is Relative to Ref: Channel1
C1 = c1/Source
C2 = c2/c1 and C2 phase is c2-c1
You also have Add Channel/ Math for Magnitude operations in gain unit.
