Suggestion on a good DAQ to get

Kamil Hassan

Question

This is my first time using a DAQ. I know the general idea of what it is but never look into the specific in determining how to use it. But in general, this is what I am looking for:

1. the sensor is an analog inductive sensor that outputs 0-10V based on the displacement of the target.

2. The target frequency is around 400Hz.

3. option to either log the data for postprocessing or real time analysis of the data

4. can log up to 10 of the same sensors

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

If the sensors can be wired so that they are common to one ground, the USB-1608G is a good choice. When operated in single-ended mode, up to 16 channels can be recorded. The free DAQami software is suitable for viewing and recording data. If real-time analysis is also needed, I recommend the DASYLab software.
