Mac Disk Image for WaveForms "Damaged and Cannot Be Opened"

Hello,

 

I am having trouble getting WaveForms 3 to operate on my work MacBook Pro (15-inch, Intel i7, 11.5.2 Big Sur). If I try to open the file, I receive an error message saying "'digilent.waveforms_v3.20.1.dmg 11-39-15-669.dmg' is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash." I have tried to download it today as well as four days ago.

 

How do I go forward with downloading WaveForms onto this computer? I can still use my personal laptop to run the software, but I would rather not deal with unplugging and replugging my laptop daily for the next two-or-so months when I could use a computer that will be in the laboratory 24/7.

Probably a browser or internet connection problem, the download may be interrupted. The file name also looks weird. It downloads correctly for me.

You can try to download the latest dmg from here or use another browser or computer to download.

I have now tried to download 3.20.29 on the MacBook and it still doesn't work.

I'm surprised it's making this mistake since I'm using Safari v14.1.2, or is that not the latest?

You could try downloading it with another computer or phone then transfer it to the Mac.

When using my iPhone and transferring the file over to the MacBook, I am still told that the file is damaged and cannot be opened.

Never mind! It worked when I tried to do it via USB instead of AirDrop. Thanks! @attila
