qutadah Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Hello, I have 4 dt9824 devices connected to the PC, I have downloaded Lv-link3 and I still cant see the devices in the NI-MAX. I am using them for data aquisition in my LabVIEW code. Question is, should they appear in NI-MAX or not? How do I know LabVIEW is connected to them? I need help! I have sent multiple emails!
0 DAQman Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 The DT9824 LabVIEW support (LV-Link3) is not integrated into NI-MAX. Instead, the LV-Link3 VI support can discover the device and configure it. The examples are in \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2023\user.lib\LV-Link3\Examples, and the Help menu includes a link to the DT-LV_Link3 help for assistance. If you have trouble, use the QuickDAQ application to test to ensure the DT9824 is installed and working.
0 qutadah Posted September 5, 2023 Author Posted September 5, 2023 Ok so it did work, I tried it! So you mean all I have to do to communicate the dt9824 to my LabVIEW is add input VISA/ etc. in my LabVIEW code? Thanks! Regards, Qutadah
0 DAQman Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 VISA is not supported with the DT9824. Instead, create your program using the Data Translation LV-Link3 VI's on the User Libraries pallet. I recommend starting with one of the Example VI's.
