Driver not being found to program BASYS3 in Windows 1 1

Shawn_Cary

Question

I cannot get anything to recognize that the BASYS3 development board exists.  I have placed the JP1 in both the QPI setting (Where default program runs anyway) and the USB setting.  Nothing is coming up in the device manager showing that anything is connected.

I have installed drivers in C:\Xilinx\Vivado\2023.1\data\xicom\cable_drivers\nt64  and nothing showing in Device Manager

Is there a QSPI4 driver I am missing or a setting somewhere in Vivado 2013.1

Got it by adding C:\Xilinx\Vivado\2023.1\data\xicom\cable_drivers\nt64\digilent

Hi @Shawn_Cary,

I am presuming by nothing you mean when you connect the board Windows does not do its "device detected" noise and that you can neither see a COM port or, more importantly, a listing of USB Serial Converter A and B with a Bus reported device description of Digilent USB Device, as mentioned in this specific post:

If you cannot see anything show up in the Windows Device Manager, this is a strong indication that the USB cable (or perhaps USB port, I've had both a cable and a port die on me) does not properly transmit data and only supports charging, so I would recommend trying a different USB cable.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
JColvin
