Curve Tracer H-Parameters

jabitti

Question

I recently got my hands on the Curve Tracer module for the AD2, and the standard curve tracing appears to work perfectly fine. However, I'm going to this from an old HAMEG tracer that also provided some h-parameters. Even without native support, I can try to calculate gain by dividing collector current by base current, but as seen in the picture below, the base current is shown at 0 A, which isn't super helpful. I tried adding a 220-ohm resistor to the collector and base connections, but the base current remained at 0 A.

I did see "hFE" is an available parameter for one of the axis, but switching to it as a function of collector current, for example, yields poor results, as seen in the picture below.

I used a multimeter to measure the gain of the transistor (2N3904 NPN BJT) at 166, so I should see some gain.

I'm unsure where I'm going wrong in my procedure for the hFE parameter. Any help extracting hFE and the other h-parameters like input resistance, output conductance, and voltage feedback ratio using this curve tracer module would be greatly appreciated!
