How to change logic buffer and storage for Waveforms

Hi,

My work computer has incremental backups running and other security checks and it seems to interfere with large logic captures and loading workspace with large acquisitions.

Large logic captures attached to workspace hangs process and I have to kill it and unable to use that workspace again.

I am saving with “workspace_name.dwf3work”, and loading it after save is causing issues with the C: drive.

I’ve changed to the D: drive to save workspace since that drive is no part of the corporate scan/backup but still see that Window’s temp dir is heavily used.

I am not sure what is all going on with the large captures, but I would like to stay clear of the C: drive if possible.

Please see attached files, “Loading Workspace (not responding)" and huge data xfers in C: users/temp dir.

Is there any way to prevent workspaces with large captures to avoid the C: ?

Hi @AtticMan

I would suggest to free up space on C or try to change the TEMP path to D...
