Question

Hello there. While working with Impedance Analyzer function of AD2, we got an error of:

"Error occurred at VI:::: DigilentWF.lvlib:DWF MSO Read.vi:4720001

Error code if related to ActiveX or operating system::: 374309

Warning 374309 occurred at DigilentWF.lvlib:DWF MSO Read.vi:4720001

This error code is undefined. Undefined errors might occur for a number of reasons. For example, no one has provided a description for the code, or you might have wired a number that is not an error code to the error code input.

Additionally, undefined error codes might occur because the error relates to a third-party object, such as the operating system or ActiveX. For these third-party errors, you might be able to obtain a description of the error by searching the Web for the error code (374309) or for its hexadecimal representation (0x0005B625)."

wanted to know if this could be related to the sampling rate? And if so, how does AD2 do the sampling exactly? Can sampling and data transmit be done at the same time?

Appreciate your help.

Hi @aida

Yes. The Scope, Logic Analyzer, Pattern Generator and each Wavegen channel can run in parallel, independently in the device. Internal and external trigger signals can be used to synchronize them.
In the VIs the Scope and Logic Analyzer are automatically synchronized.

The 374309 is WarningNotEnoughMemory.
For high frequency captures make sure the acquisitionTime / sampleRate is at most the device buffer size (8Ki/channel for AD2, 128Mi for ADP3X50).
The VI will perform record (streaming capture) when the buffer size is exceeded which will work for AD2 at up to about 1-2MHz.

Thank you Attila. I will try that. Hopefully it will be resolved.

I have another question though. Are there any options to simulate a theoretical model of AD2 in Labview (or other software)? We want to check our results with a perfect model.

Thanks.

Hi @aida

I wanted to say that you could use demo mode, but to be realistic, it adds a bit of noise to the simulated signal; triggering is not supported...
In demo mode the Scope channel # returns a preview of the configured signal for FGen # adding up to 0.1% of the amplitude as random noise.
