DT9816 External trigger, External clock : Where is software support and example code ?

Need to use the advertised features of the 9816, external trigger and external ADC clock. I cannot find any documentation/links/faqs on software support. Where is it please ?  QuickDAC has an Acquisition Tab item for "Trigger Source - External TTL Neg Edge", but it does not act like it is supported.  When I select that option and apply an appropriate trigger pulse, the hardware keeps "waiting for trigger".   What is happening here please ?  And unfortunately it looks like QuickDAQ won't recognize use of an external ADC clock.  Can this please be added soon?

Hello @pmohan.

QuickDAQ does support the "Trigger Source - External TTL Neg Edge" for a DT9816 Series module, but QuickDAQ does not support an external A/D sample clock, for any product.  There are no plans to add an external A/D sample clock option in QuickDAQ.  However, a user has alternative software options including DASYLab, LabVIEW, and software development using Data Translation's Open Layers .NET API.

To test the "Trigger Source - External TTL Neg Edge" for a DT9816 Series module, in QuickDAQ, physically connect a jumper wire from screw terminal 20 (USB +5V Out) to screw terminal 40 (Ext Trigger).  Configure QuickDAQ to wait for the "Trigger Source - External TTL Neg Edge".  Start the acquisition.  Disconnect the jumper wire from screw terminal 20 and then connect it to screw terminal 38 (Ground).  QuickDAQ should start to display acquired data on the plot.
