Module unknown error

Hi, 

I am testing items using the DasyLab 2022 run time software and the DAQ module USB-DIO32HS. The person who designed and wrote the code is no longer working in the company and I had to take it over. The original computer which was used for programming works but a newly configured computer gives me the following attached error. 

Could you help me with this. The USB is recognized, and I checked it with Instacal as well.

Hello @ee.engineer

That error indicates there is a missing module on the target (newly configured) system.

Best guess:  Run the DASYLab Configurator, and verify the Measurement Computing driver is enabled.

if it is not enabled, enable it. click 'OK' at the bottom, follow the onscreen prompts, and try running the work sheet again.

if it is enabled, disable it, click OK at the bottom and follow the onscreen prompts.  Then run the DASYLab configurator a second time, and this time, enable it. click 'OK' at the bottom, follow the onscreen prompts, and try running the work sheet again.  -sometimes the first time the MCC-DRV driver is enabled doesn't quite work right and needs disable/enable cycle.

Thank you for your response, the module unknown error is no longer seen but I am getting a new error now. The scan rate error, I have also attached the configurator tab photo with initially both the DataScan solo and 7000 were selected.

What is your device make and model on both the development computer vs the one you installed the runtime?

You'll need to change the settings to match those of the working computer.

Hi Jeffrey,

By device make and model, do you mean the DAQ module USB-DIO32HS or the software on the working and new machine. 

The working computer, where the code was written was in DasyLab 13.0, the software files are saved as ".DSB" and when I go to properties - older version, I can't change anything. The new computer is using runtime Dasylab 2022. How to make them compatible. 

Let me know if you are referring the DAQ module.

Also the previous version of the software on the working computer was running with the configurator launcher. The new non-working computer runs with the Data Acquisition software, not sure if I have the wrong version of the software itself

There has to be something different between the 2 systems.  What are the differences?

You stated one computer it running DASYLab 13 development and the other is running DASYLab 2022 (V16) runtime.

I would uninstall DASYLab 2022 and install DASYLab 13.  Until you get the problem resolved, for a limited amount of time (for the purposes of trouble shooting), you may install your DASYLab 13 license on the previously installed DASYLab 2022 system.  Get it working, and then change the key to your runtime. Note you do not have to reinstall DASYLab 2022 at that point, just use the DASYLab 2022 runtime key on the DASYLab 2013 runtime install.

What is the difference between the development and run version, does 22 come with development version? Could you send me the link to download the 13 version please.

The 26 character key is what sets the features for the various versions of DASYLab (Lite, Basic, Full, Pro, or Runtime).

Depending on the MCC driver you used (check your development computer, DASYLab 13 configurator, installed drivers):

to be clear, to make the runtime run like the original, use the MCC DASYLab driver used on the DASYLab 13 installation.

Easy way to tell is to run DASYLab 13, go to the modules >> inputs/outputs.

still not sure?  Send me a picture of the configurator, Packages tab with Data acquisition tree expanded so I can see the list of drivers you have installed and their rev numbers.

I managed to install the dasylab13 and the MCC-DRV driver as well, but I am getting the module not found error again. I have been toggling between the two measuring computing but to no use. Also, removing this removes the MCC-DRV drive.

is there a pop up message stating which module is missing? 

go on the original development system and find out which one it is.  That will help to determine why it is not on your target system

Sorry about the poor quality. I was doing the above tests in the newly installed DasyLab 13 on the not working on a computer. I removed Dasylab 22 and installed 13 for the above tests and got module error again

So, to find the module in the working system, I need to search for the module Ltch_T1ST202? Where would this be or what file would it be?

Is it a long 6 types of characters with a hyphen type? Do I uninstall or can I add the key now?

26 characters long, all alpha except the last set are all numbers, and yes there are "-"

you do not need to uninstall, just run the configurator and enter the key.

Then open the worksheet, if you get the error click ok or continue of whatever it states, so you can open the worksheet and see the module.

The only other thing I see change between the two computers is that the working computer has MCDasyLabDriver and the other one is mcc.13.4.0.14 as seen.

MCC DRV drivers are included in the installation of DASYLab 2022.  All you need do is run the Configurator, and enable the Measurement Computing driver on the Packages tab.
