Analog Discovery 2 - SAE J2716 (SENT) Protocol Analysis?

MagicSmoke

Question

Does the Analog Discovery 2 support analysis of SAE J2716 Single Edge Nibble Transmission (SENT) Protocol signals? I know it supports "Protocol Analyzer with SPI, I2C, CAN, AVR, and UART", but SENT is a deal-maker or -breaker capability (plus, I'd really like to own & use an AD2 instead of a Siglent or PicoScope).

FYI, SENT is a low-cost solution for automotive manufacturers to reliably communicate wide-ranging sensor values over a 0-5V DC signal line in a noisy engine bay without needing shielding, twisted pairs, optical links, or other solutions. They can also combine two sensor readings (usually pressure & temperature, or actuator position & temperature) plus sensor information/characterization data into one data line (plus 5V reference and ground). Most cars made in the last 10 years have at least two SENT sensors, with more coming every year. Because it is a real pain to read the sensor data without a proper decoder, I'm hoping the AD2 can make life easier for me.

The 120 page SAE paper defining the J2716 standard is only $87. If there is a real chance this could be added as a feature, I'd be happy to pay for the document for the development team.
