0 attila
Hi @Gregory I suspect some dependency for the ADP5 library is missing. Please download and extract the following: http://www.dependencywalker.com/depends22_x64.zip Start the depends.exe, open C:\Windows\System32\ dadp5capi.dll, Collapse All and see if any DLL is missing (?) 0 Gregory
I don't know how to tell if dependencies are missing, but I've uploaded the dependency walker file to: https://1drv.ms/u/s!An2F1_VvAWtRhKZSllQh6QFLH8BjdQ?e=yjgkAt It's too big to upload to this web forum. Here's what the log says: Error: At least one required implicit or forwarded dependency was not found. Error: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in an implicitly dependent module. Error: A circular dependency was detected. Warning: At least one delay-load dependency module was not found. Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module. 0 attila
Hi @Gregory The Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 is missing from your system. The WaveForms installer contains it and a reinstall should fix it. You can also install it manually after downloading X86 and X64 from here:https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
0 Gregory
I downloaded it from the link provided, and this solved my problem. Thanks Edited March 11, 2022 by Gregory attila
0 corestar
I have a similar problem. I have an ADP5250 and installed a later version of WaveForms using a link by @attila digilent.waveforms_v3.19.5_64bit.exe I'm on Windows 7 Pro. When I connect the USB, it says it successfully installed 4 drivers. When I run the WaveForms, it says "No Device Detected". The Windows Device Manager shows the Analog Discovery Pro, but there is nothing under USB devices. When I do the steps above for the dadp5capi.dll, it shows the attached. 0 attila
Hi @corestar Does the following detect the device ? Could you try it with a Windows 10 or 11 machine ?
0 corestar
@attila Thanks for the suggestion, but I had already uninstalled it on the Windows 7 machine. Looking for a Windows 10 machine to try. They do not list any system requirements, but I notice an earlier version of release notes say Windows 7 no longer supported. attila
0 corestar
Hello @attila, Just an update, I did the install on a Windows 10 machine and everything works fine. So the drivers apparently do not work on Windows 7. Digilent may want to change their WaveForms page to say "Windows 10 or later only" instead of the attached. Also, as I remember, the download page itself did not say anything about OS support.
0 attila
Hi @corestar Other devices should work even Win7 as it is no longer supported so it is not recommended to use it. Thank you for the observation, we should add later (or 11) and ARM64 (except ADP5250).
