Amplitude Controlled Waveform Output

I need to run a small signal input to an amplifier. The small signal (0-0.5Vpp or more, however, operation should be around 0.25-0.3Vpp) will always be 10kHz. The output should be able to be turned ON or OFF with an external switch and ramped using a voltage 0-10V with at least 10mVpp resolution on the output.

Can the analog discovery 2 devices be programmed (set and forget) to use DI as ON/OFF and AI amplitude control?

I'm not trying to continuously have a computer connected. Just want to program it for 0.25max vPP 10kHz output amplitude control AI pin and On/Off DI pin.

Would you recommend any other devices?

The AD2 has no standalone operation. Eventually the external and internal triggering can start the instruments and the DIOs can be used in FSM mode, Patterns ROM logic.
The ADP3450 has embedded Linux that can be used for wide range of standalone applications, automated tasks...
