Uninstall the DigilentFtdiDriver.pkg on MacOS 10.14 and newer

Albert Terheide

Question

If I've installed the FTDI driver on my newer MacBook air for use with the Analog Discovery 2 it is suggested here that I may have connections issues.  I would like to remove the driver to see if this is the cause of my connection problems.  How do I go about removing this driver?

Thanks

Albert

Hi @Albert Terheide

- delete DigilentFtdiDriver.kext from /Library/Extensions/
- disconnect device
- Restart! the MacOS
- reconnect the device

The connection problems usually are caused by wrong cable contact, try another USB cable, try other socket, powered USB hub or auxiliary 5VDC power supply.
