Analog Discovery 2 - Impedence Analyser Max Frequency Limitation

Dear All,

I wanted to do Impedance analysis of a antenna at 13.56Mhz.

The specifications of Analog discovery for Impedance analyzer say 10/25Mhz.

On the Waveforms Software 3.14.3 Impedance Analyzer

Meter Mode only 10Mhz option is available and in Analyzer Mode Stop can be selected 25Mhz but a message pops when selected 25Mhz saying Device bandwidth limitation.

 

Can any one let me know if Specs say 10/25Mhz why this warning saying device bandwidth limitation?

The -3dB of Wavegen output is at about 10MHz:

Above this the signal will drop and the measurement resolution may decrease.

Is there a means to operate Impedance Analyzer at 13.56Mhz In spite of the device bandwidth warning?

Can we provide 13.56Mhz Signal from external source?

Hi @kashyap

At 13MHz the reference signal (W1) drops 6dB, half of the amplitude which should be fine for such relative measurements.
