I am using the AD2 since a while now for some of my sensor analyses. I thought about optimizing the readout and increase the overall readout speed, which brings me to my question.
At the moment I query the AD2 with python and just read the oscilloscope via the USB serial. Unfortunately this connection only allows me to sample continuously with 1 Mbit/s, thus limiting my readout capabilities. I was now wondering if the FFT actually happens on the AD2 already or if it is only done "offline" in Waveforms? If it would be on the AD2 then I could massively reduce the data transfer over the USB connection and just query the frequency spectrum of interest. So far I could not find a clear answer to this.

Hi everyone!

Could you help me on this topic? Thanks a lot :)
