Trying out Pmod CMPS2, heading does not change

Hi everyone,

 

I am trying out the CMPS2 with module from here: https://reference.digilentinc.com/reference/pmod/pmodcmps2/start

Unfortunately, the heading only change slightly, despite rotating the compass in full circle.

What should I check to get it working?

I'm using Arduino 1.8.13 and Seeeduino Xiao, if that helps.

Hi @banitama,

Are you using the demo that we have for it on our Resource Center (which you linked to)? Additionally, are you testing this indoors? As a compass, it measures the magnetic fields around it, so if you have other things around that create interfering magnetic fields (i.e. something that draws a lot of current), this will make the header reading a bit unreliable.
