Normally when the AUX supply is in a valid voltage range, around 5V, the USB supply is disabled with EN_VBUS, see:https://reference.digilentinc.com/reference/instrumentation/analog-discovery-2/reference-manual#usb_power_control You can find an option under Settings/ Options/ Device to keep the USB supply ON. In concurrency the AUX rail should push more current since it has lower resistance to common path (cabling, contacts, no diode, lower shunt) This way after removing the AUX supply the device will remain powered from USB.
