Linux spidev interface to joystick

carcher

Question

We are using the Nvidia Jetson TX2 as a host platform that interfaces to a number of sensors and controls, like joysticks. The PMOD JSTK2 looks like it could be a good match for our application, and we have one to play with.  However, we are having trouble getting it to work correctly. All the examples are limited to Arduino or FPGAs and use appropriate drivers.   We have already tried the linux "spidev" driver, and while it can write to the joystick led, we can not read anything sensible from it.  Does anyone know of any drivers for the joystick that would work in a Ubuntu linux operating system?  Thanks!
