Erickson
Are there DXF or other mechanical CAD files available for the CORA Z7 board?
0 jpeyron
Hi @Erickson, The header is arduino/chipkit compatible as discussed in the Reference manual here in section 13 Arduino/chipKIT Shield Connector. The header has more available pins than the Arduino uno as shown here . The Arty A7 has the same header and we have a 3D CAD file available for the Arty-A7 on the bottom of the resource center here. thank you, Jon JColvin
0 jpeyron
Hi @Erickson, We do not have those files available at the moment for the Cora Z7 board. We can get some caliper measurements of the distances you are wanting to know. thank you, Jon
0 Erickson
Hi Jon, Thanks for the reply. We've already taken caliper measurements here. I'm looking for a DXF file to hand off to a PCB designer to help with placing board-to-board connectors for a custom hat/shield. Is it correct that the outer headers are the same as an Arduino Uno? I think I could track down an Arduino DXF without too much difficulty. Thanks again!

0 CaptFraz
Hi @jpeyron, I wanted to resurrect an old thread here to see if you all are able to make the CAD files for the Cora Z7 available at this time? Thanks!
0 jpeyron
Hi @CaptFraz, We still do not have 3D CAD files available for the Cora Z7. I have passed on your request to our content team. best regards, Jon
0 CaptFraz
Thanks @jpeyron, A 3D file would be great but I could also get by with a dimensioned engineering drawing if they would be more comfortable releasing that alone. Best, MF
0 jpeyron
Hi @CaptFraz, Unfortunately we do not have a dimensional engineering drawings for the Cora Z7. best regards, Jon
0 paoppe
Hi @jpeyron, is there an update on the CAD-file? Cheers, Patrick
0 JColvin
Hi @paoppe, We don't have a CAD file for the Cora Z7, though we do now have an image of the hole dimensions present on the Cora Z7 which should help. Please let us know if you have any other dimensions you are looking for. Thanks, JColvin
0 Stefan0
Hi JColvin, I'm designing a expansion PCB for the Cora that uses the unpopulated J1 connector. J1 seems to be not aligned with any other connector on the board. Can you please provide me the measurements highlighted in green in the figure below (or anything else that will help me to place J1 correctly)? Thanks Stefano Edited January 29, 2020 by Stefan0
0 JColvin
Hi @Stefan0, I asked our layout engineer about this and they provided the following dimension details (attached as an image). Let me know if you have any questions about this. Thanks, JColvin

0 dr12
@JColvin, Hope all is well. To follow up from the last request a while ago, has the team created a CAD file for the Z7 over this past year?
0 JColvin
Hi @dr12, No, a 3D CAD file has not been created for the Cora Z7. I will ask about it again, but am not anticipating on hearing that one will be created. Thanks, JColvin
0 abaelen
Hello @JColvin, Would it be possible to share the trace lengths for the pins (at least the GPIO pins). Thanks! rdgs Alex Edited December 22, 2020 by abaelen
0 JColvin
Hi @abaelen, I have reached out for this information, though the engineer who I typically get this information from is out of the office on vacation until 2021, so it will be some time before I have the details to share. Thank you, JColvin

0 Raffaele
Hi @JColvin, for the design of a PMOD-expansion PCB for the Cora z7, I would need the distance between the PMOD connectors and their distance to the board edges. Could you please provide the measurements highlighted in yellow in the figure below ? Thank you very much for your help. Kind regards, Raffaele
0 JColvin
Hi @Raffaele, I have reached out to another engineer to get these dimensions. Thanks, JColvin
0 DAK
Hi Was this question ever answered? I'd also like to know the locations of the PMOD connectors and also J7. It would be great if you could publish a list of the coordinates of Pin 1 of each connector relative to one of the four mounting holes. Many thanks
0 JColvin
Hi @DAK, I don't believe this question was ever answered directly, but I do know that a DXF file was eventually published at some point onto the Cora Z7 Resource Center on the right hand side under Design Resources, https://digilent.com/reference/programmable-logic/cora-z7/start, so users can measure all of the (2D) dimensions that they need directly from that (or at least I verified that dxf online viewer measurement tool matched the directly printed measured dimensions). Thanks, JColvin
