hengzhao
Hi all, I saw the tutorial video and other info for zc702 (http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx14_7/SDK_Doc/tasks/sdk_t_linux_application_debugging_system_debugger.htm), but its eth0 is ipv4, but when I boot from the sd card, it is ipv6. Could any one tell me how to setup the environment on the pc to connect zedboard with pc through tcf? Thanks a lot.
jpeyron
Hi @hengzhao, We have reached out to a more experienced embedded linux engineer about your thread. They should hopefully respond in the next few days. thank you, Jon
sbobrowicz
You seem to be on the right track. Assuming the ZedBoard and your computer are on the same ethernet network, you should just need to put the IP address reported by ifconfig in the Host box of the Edit Target Connection window. I've never tried this with IPv6, it is possible that it won't work. If that is the case, you could try disabling DHCP IPv6 addresses at your router to see if you can force it to use a IPv4 address. You could also try doing a point to point connection with an ethernet cable between the board and the computer and using static IP addresses.
