  1. Perfect, the CTL-Options worked, the ADP3450 is now on my local network, DHCP worked, and the device is accessible through WaveForms without the USB cable and with the USB Cable. I'll try measurements next. I love Easter Eggs. 😄 Digilent : Analog Discovery Pro 3450 Name: ADP3450 PDID: 0x40720410 SN : 210018B9D915 MAC : 00-18-3E-04-89-FD IP : 192.168.90.201 Netmask : 255.255.255.0 Gateway : 192.168.90.1 Running : Standard v03.42 Stats: 0 0 512 C:\Users\craig>ping 192.168.90.201 Pinging 192.168.90.201 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 192.168.90.201: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255 Reply from 192.168.90.201: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255 Reply from 192.168.90.201: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255 Reply from 192.168.90.201: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255 Ping statistics for 192.168.90.201: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms
  2. Out of the box, the ADP3450 I received; Firmware won't update, Ethernet can't be configured, intermittently fails USB Device Speed Test, Device disappears Device Manager after 15-20 minutes On time. Digilent ADP3450 (Blue line, Device Manager image): Environment: Windows 11 Device name DESKTOP-K6M8S5I Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30GHz 1.50 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.6 GB usable) Device ID F0F47ED3-EEC8-47E9-8737-C79AB34816F5 Product ID 00342-23803-96509-AAOEM System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Pen and touch Pen and touch support with 10 touch points Edition Windows 11 Home Version 22H2 Installed on ‎10/‎11/‎2022 OS build 22621.1992 Serial number 030735313457 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22644.1000.0 Install: After I upgraded WaveForms to 3.20.1 64-bit Windows Plugged in the USB Cable and was informed I had to upgrade ADP3450 firmware. I did, the Device Manager "Update dialog" popped up, the procedure failed, the Update button disappeared. I plugged in the Ethernet cable to my Gigabit LAN with DHCP, lights came on and the Network IP remained 0.0.0.0 as seen above. So I located an IP which wasn't being used on my network and tried to set it statically, then press "Apply & Reboot": After the ADP3450 appeared to reboot and showed up in Device Manager, I checked the IP, and again 0.0.0.0 with the same static Network Settings dialog shown. I verified this by attempting to ping the IP, and performed a network scan to see if maybe DHCP had worked. "No" to both. In the Help area I found a set of Troubleshooting steps to follow. I did, and this is what I saw on the Serial USB connection (COM3 on my system): Boot v03.42 MultiBoot: 0x0000C000 RebootStatus: 0x00600000 ResetReason: 0x00 Press any key for Recovery Mode... S for Standard Mode L for Linux Mode QSPI: 01-60-18-FF-FF-FF Programming PL ! XDcfgEnd XDCFG_IXR_PCFG_DONE_MASK Running Standard Recovery Mode Setup Running USB Connect 512B I read about "Boot Mode" and made sure it was set to "Standard (default)" since it continues to report "Standard Recovery Mode". Thought I'd try a Device "Speed Test" over USB and got "Fail" After cycling power a few times, I finally did get a PASS, which then returned to "Fail" shortly after: My Analog Discovery 2 runs perfectly with this computer and USB setup. I finished my debug effort with a few RESET button attempts and power cycling when RESET didn't change anything. One of the primary reasons for buying the ADP3450 is, so I can run embedded development code and view the results from my code development setup while I'm in another room. This means I don't have to disassemble and move the core development setup. Moving the development setup begs for trouble and wasted time troubleshooting from wires pulled out of a moved bread board test setup. Like the subject line says: What is next? Replacement ADP3450 (since this is a brand-new unit)? Anything else to try that I missed? Thank you, Craig P.S. It looks like all the pictures disappeared from my posting. If you email me carno@uw.edu, I'll send a PDF of this conversation with pictures. It is 452K size. Any GMail/Yahoo, maybe even a @digilent.com account, should work.
