BigGuy1000 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 I have used the data logger in Waveforms Live on the Web, and it works fine so far, though it says Beta! But I do not find the Logger in the localhost version 1.1.2 which I will need to use where there is no Web connection. Perhaps I am not finding a version which has it, or perhaps it is to be in a future version. Please advise! I do understand that it is a significant programming effort to create!!!
sudharsan.sukumar Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Good catch. We need to update the agent. In the mean time, here is how you can update it yourself! 1) Stop the Digilent Agent if it's running. 2) Download the WFL source: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/digilent/Software/WaveForms+Live/1.3.0/waveforms-live-1.3.0.zip 3) Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Digilent\Digilent Agent\www and you'll see some files in there. Delete all these files. 4) Extract the WFL source and copy the contents of waveforms-live-1.3.0 folder into the folder referenced in step 3. 5) Run the Digilent Agent. 6) go to http://localhost:42135 to load the offline version of WFL from the Digilent Agent. You should be able to go to the settings page and check that the version is 1.3.0. Let us know if you need help, Dharsan
BigGuy1000 Posted January 10, 2018 Author Posted January 10, 2018 Please doublecheck the advice given in step 4!!!!
sudharsan.sukumar Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 On the left, I extracted the zip which gives you the waveforms-live-1.3.0 folder. Delete the files in the www folder pictured on the right and then copy and paste the contents of the waveforms-live-1.3.0 folder into the www folder. The contents of the waveforms-live-1.3.0 folder will be very similar to what's in the www folder originally. Hope that makes more sense, Dharsan
JColvin Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Hi @sudharsan.sukumar, I think @BigGuy1000 might be confirming that in your step 4, you are intending to indicate that you are putting the extracted files into the folder we deleted stuff from in step 3 (as opposed to step 2). Thanks, JColvin
BigGuy1000 Posted January 12, 2018 Author Posted January 12, 2018 Yes, Moderator is correct, as originally posted the instructions were to put the extracted files into the wrong folder!!! Thanks for correcting, makes more sense now!!!!
