I just got HDMI working at 1080p (with the expected timing failure) along with a DDR3 based software framebuffer accessible from the PS. Hopefully going to do a project log on that and associated 2D sprite engine to come eventually. I am current starting a master's degree in power electronics control using FPGAs to implement computationally complex control algorithms such as model predictive control. I am also an avid circuit board designer and firmware developer, looking to get into Linux at some point.
