JoeHanson
Should it be possible to change Wavegen settings with it turned on? Currently I find it necessary to turn Wavegen off, change setting, turn Wavegen on.
sudharsan.sukumar
That is the correct current behavior. We're looking into changing this if we get more feedback like yours! -Dharsan
victagayun
I prefer the same like a real oscilloscope...
Kristoff
WaveForms Live makes you turn off the Wavegen before changing the settings because that is what the hardware actually requires. We spent a long time debating if we should make users explicitly stop the wavegen before changing settings or just do it for you behind the scenes when you change a setting. The reason we went with the current implementation is because starting the wavegen takes a relatively long time (~500 ms for the PWM offset to settle) so rapidly changing settings might queue up or just skip some of your changes. Like Dharsan said we're curious to get feedback on this as more people start using it. We could potentially give users the option to set the behavior in the settings menu. -Kristoff
victagayun
Hopefully there is an "apply" button so when you reached the desired final setting you may immediately see the outcome
Mejdi
Hello, As feedback on the wavegen from a new user; It would also be nice to be able to: - choose the duty cycle of the wavegen (at least for square signal) - Trig the wavegen as in WaveForm (wait for trig, wait for x time, play for y time, wait on last sample value) On an other topic: being able to generate clocks (or better digital patterns) on the IO would be great

Kristoff
Hey victagayun, We don't have a timeline for this change, but we've added it to our list of feature requests. -Kristoff
