JSnell
Problem is reported in a pop-up message- JtscInitScanChain failed ERC: 0x3E9 Device programming failed. Waveforms does not connect - though it does see the AD2 serial number and allows me to "Select" Discovery2 - but does not connect. My serial number is SN:210321A19DA5 With the AD2. I am using an external supply - and this USB has been working with no problems for about 2 months. Today this problem started after never seeing any problems. I tried a different USB. I tried reinstalling the Waveforms software. I have tried disconnecting (the USB) and power cycling the AD2.
JSnell
I am adding a further update to this question. I borrowed another AD2 to try and it does the same thing the original - suggesting this is a MacOS problem rather than an AD2 problem. But it remains a problem.... JSnell
Yet another update to this problem. I Tried the AD2 on a different computer (Mac Laptop 10.12.2) where Waveforms had worked with this unit previously - and it worked. (They both worked.) So there is clearly a computer problem. Next I completely shutdown the Mac (with the problem) - power down - and power cycled the powered usb hub(s). Then restarted. Now Waveforms is able to connect to (both of) the AD2. Apparently a reboot of the Mac was not enough to solve the problem (no the usb hub because I had tried plugging directly into the Mac (a Mac Pro Late 2013)... So there you go... hopefully this can help someone else.
attila
Hello, Good to know your problem is solved and thank you for the feedback. I also noticed similar USB stuck issue on OS X. What seemed to help me was to reboot having USB devices disconnected.
