scampbell Posted January 2, 2017 Share Posted January 2, 2017 Hello, I have a new Electronics Explorer, using WaveForms 2015 software to interface with it. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but... * The Vmtr sockets don't read any voltages in he Voltmeter panel of WaveForms * The scope DC pins show their values in both the Voltmeter panel and the scope panel This seems to be contrary to logic, and to the example given in the manual for how to wire up the Vmtr pins as a DMM. Also checked: * Verified with external voltmeter that there is voltage coming out of the VP+, VP- and VCC pins * The AWG works fine It's almost like the Vmtr sockets are cross-connected to the scope DC pins, or the software is sensing the scope DC pins as Vmtr? I'm sure I'm going to feel like an idiot when someone tells me what I'm doing wrong, but any help would be most appreciated! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
attila Posted January 4, 2017 Share Posted January 4, 2017 Hello, To be consistent with the Analog Discovery, the Voltmeter and Data Logger interfaces show the Scope inputs DC, AC and True RMS values. The EExplorer Vmtr inputs are shown in the Supplies interface. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hello,
I have a new Electronics Explorer, using WaveForms 2015 software to interface with it. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but...
* The Vmtr sockets don't read any voltages in he Voltmeter panel of WaveForms
* The scope DC pins show their values in both the Voltmeter panel and the scope panel
This seems to be contrary to logic, and to the example given in the manual for how to wire up the Vmtr pins as a DMM.
Also checked:
* Verified with external voltmeter that there is voltage coming out of the VP+, VP- and VCC pins
* The AWG works fine
It's almost like the Vmtr sockets are cross-connected to the scope DC pins, or the software is sensing the scope DC pins as Vmtr?
I'm sure I'm going to feel like an idiot when someone tells me what I'm doing wrong, but any help would be most appreciated!
