This could be me confusing BNC circuits. Right now, I want to have the following circuit:
So essentially CH2 measures the voltage across the whole circuit, and CH1 would only measure it across R2. This is the simple setup for something more complicated, so I cannot really change the method. I am a little confused on how to ground R2 because right now I am just using a BNC short/end which apparently is not correct- it worked when I did it on the bread board (so I know the resistance values should work still). Right now I am essentially getting 0 voltage into CH1 (along R2) however this wasn't the case on the breadboard.
Am I missing something? Am I supposed to ground R2 via the BNC extension?
Again, sorry this is more of a circuit theory-question.
