I see some threads mentioning this from a few years ago, but I thought I'd check for an update. Is there a way to connect to the ADP3450 from the embedded Linux system and run scripts as a user other than root? Since my program also accesses the network, I'd prefer not to have this gaping security hole.
I tried adding udev rules that change ownership of /dev/axidma, /dev/axidma1, and /dev/uio0 to a group my user is in; this changes the error message I get, but does not work. With the permissions changes I get "No AXIDMA 0. Device opening failed."
