Digital Discovery: No device detected

hotaka

Question

Hello,

I was using Digital Discovery and got a communication error (no record). I restarted WaveForms.

The message “No device detected” appeared at startup, and I could no longer use my DD .

The serial number registered in the FT232H inside the DD is displayed, but it cannot be used.
I have an Analog Discovery 2, and when I connect AD2 with the same cable, I can use it normally.

From the above, it seems that the problem is an internal failure of the Digital Discovery. I would like to have it repaired. The date of purchase is 5/25/2022.

Hi attlia,

Thanks for the advice.
I found that when an error occurred using a poor quality USB cable, quitting WaveForms actually kept the connection to Digital Discovery.
Rebooting the OS and using a high quality USB cable solved the problem.
I were relieved to find that it was not a product malfunction.
