Custom Digital signal in Pattern

When I create a custom pattern in Patterns, my preferred method is create the table that is on the right-hand side in a separate spreadsheet and then copy it into WaveForms, like what I did for the workspace that I attached. If you're planning on sending ASCII data, I definitely recommend setting up formulas in your spreadsheet of choice to convert the string data into individual characters, convert them into binary equivalents with the appropriate padding, and any necessary transposing.

Some things to keep in mind, particularly when creating custom patterns that emulate some sort of protocol that use a clock signal such as SPI, is to make sure your data bits only change on the correct clock edge.
