I'm new to this forum having just purchased an AD3 to mess around with and hopefully learn something!
I set up Wavegen to output a sine wave to a resistor in series with a diode exactly like in the attached image (but with a 1k resistor and a 1N914 diode). W1 is set to output a triangular wave 5Vpp without any offset. I then set up the scope as in the second attached figure with an XY display. The XY display does not look like a normal diode IV curve. So what am I doing wrong?
When I add a Math channel as in the next attached figure, I see the same problem. Again what am I doing wrong?
I've tried different diodes and received similar results.
