Every year at this time I get an itch to make a few mint box distortion devices using J201 JFETs. This year I would like to use my new Digilent transistor tester to validate that they are in fact J201's.
So, I'm wondering if someone could please help me by walking me through the WaveForms settings and by explaining what to look for in order to validate them?
I built a JFET tester years ago and every year I just keep getting older and forgetting more stuff....like, where I put it!
A quick review indicated that I need to look at PV and IDSS in order to determine the authenticity of my most recent J201 purchase.
